Sunlight ski resort is located 10 miles south of Glenwood Springs on Compass Mountain at 7,885’ in the White River National Forest. Sunlight has over 470 skiable acres and overlooks Mount Sopris and the Elk Mountain Range. The Sunlight ski season runs from December 2, 201 to April 1, 2011(weather permitting)
Lift Information
Sunlight has 3 lifts with a summit elevation of 9,895 feet. The average annual snowfall is 250 inches. There are 67 named trails with the longest being 2.5 miles. 20% of the runs are beginner terrain, 55% intermediate, 20% advanced and 5% of the mountain in expert. Lift operations open at 9:00 am and close at 4:00 pm daily.
